ENVEA, worldwide leader in ambient monitoring systems and very invested in ecodesign, introduces the 1st Solar AQMS, representing a major breakthrough for the air quality monitoring. The standalone station encloses ENVEA’s e-Series analyzers, QAL 1 certified and US-EPA approved, offering the best metrological performances for the continuous monitoring of gases CO, O3, NOx, SO2 and fines particulates PM10 or PM2.5. This sturdy series of criteria monitors, offer very low energy consumption, are insensitive to temperature variations and are 24V power supplied. Thus, the air quality monitoring station is able to withstand temperatures up to 45-50 °C without air conditioning and without connection to the power grid. The station being equipped with data acquisition & handling systems, the measured parameters are automatically and wireless transmitted to a central server for global supervision and management. Thanks to the ENVEA e-Series unique features, for the first time in the world, a complete standalone monitoring station, supplied only by green energy and measuring 24 hours a day, can be installed in isolated site. This innovation will revolutionize the air quality measurement across the developing world struggling with the reliability of their energy supply, as well as the forward-thinking ‘smart cities’ looking to re-define their energy mix and supporting renewables on the grid. ECOMESURE is excited to announce its partnership with SINAY, which offers the Sinay Hub, a unique platform dedicated to maritime industries.

FPI Pioneered Use of Chemiluminescence Method in Ozone Pollution Monitoring

Ambient air—Automatic determination of ozone—Chemiluminescence method (HJ 1225-2021), a new national standard issued by the Ministry of Ecology and Environmental of the PRC, was officially implemented on March 1st, 2022. Compared to the previous national standard——the UV absorption method, the chemiluminescence method, is characterized by strong selectivity and high measurement accuracy. The UV absorption method measures the concentration of ambient ozone based on the absorption of the...

Praxis/Urban Air Quality Monitors deployed in Oxford

16 Praxis/Urban air quality monitors have been deployed around the city of Oxford as part of the OxAria research project. South Coast Science is one of the commercial partners for the project, supplying air quality monitoring devices. OxAria is a collaboration between academic, public and commercial partners that aims to understand the air and noise quality impacts of COVID-19 across Oxford city. It is led by the Universities of Birmingham and Oxford and funded by the Natural Environmental Research Council.

CERC assesses Low Traffic Neighbourhoods in Lambeth and Southwark

As part of an emergency transport response to the pandemic, Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs) have been introduced in many London Boroughs, to help people safely walk, cycle and use public transport. CERC consultants have been evaluating the air quality impact of LTN schemes, including five schemes in Lambeth and the Walworth and Dulwich schemes in Southwark. Using local traffic monitoring data as input, the modelling assessments consider pre-scheme and post-scheme scenarios to assess the air quality impact of...
